Macedonia v Scotland ticket allocation

Bad news for anyone hoping to attend the Macedonia v Scotland match in September – the Tartan Army have been awarded a meagre 1000 tickets. Because of this the SFA have decided to offer tickets only to fans who have accumulated 5 points. This pretty much rules me out, and all my friends. So, anyone know a good pub in Skopje where we can watch the game?

  1. Shanklys, about 250 meters from the stadium or there is the Irish pub about 1 KM along the river Vardar towards the city center.

  2. My Scottish friends,
Head to “pella square” they normally have a big screen on showing the game LIVE. Also there are many pubs/chill out loounges along the “reka vardar” (river vardar) All with Large Plasma’s showing the game LIVE
    You’ll have an awesome time.
However, Macedonia will win! It is OUR time to Qualify.
    Good Luck!

  8. There are many “bars” by the River Vardar near the main square, irish pub is there too. Usually the fans from other countries watch the matches there.

So i wish u great time in Macedonia, but don’t expect the victory 🙂

  9. upps i meant “pubs” not “bars” 🙂

  10. By the way it’s pretty safe here don’t worry about that, our fans don’t make problems with foreign suporters. The problems are usually between us …

Be carefull, there is a decision by which Scotish fans will not be allowed to enter any other part except the East, for which u can get a ticket only from the Scotish federation. So any ticket u get from a reseller is at your own risk.

  12. yeah im resseler and i can garantee that they will enter,i work with security.Anyone interested :dawizdom9@hotmail.com see ya

  13. Don’t get me wrong guys, it was just a warning for you. Many things in Macedonia works with connections, frinds etc. so i do believe that Chris has those connections.

Shanklys and the irish pub are the best bet. Shankleys is in run by a father and son that came to macedonia from England a few years go and its a great place to get beer and watch the game.

  15. Hi, I’m an expat working in Skopje. Be very careful: last Saturday there was fighting with guns at a match in the same stadium and the police are worried about more trouble. Macedonian v Albanian tension is quite high. Safer to watch it in a bar. You shouldn’t pay more than 110 denars for a half litre of draught Skopsko, the local lager. Bottled beers are more expensive. Exchange rate is about 75 denars to the pound, you’ll get ripped off if you offer to pay with euros. ticket touts aren’t charitable organisations, are they? Local people are very friendly and many speak some English (not sure about Glaswegian, though!) Have a great time.
