Gordon Strachan confirmed as new Scotland Manager

The Scotland squad has a new coach. Gordon Strachan will take up the position vacated by Craig Levein who was sacked late last year.

Strachan, who has been out of work since October 2010, has played at international level. He is also well known as a coach. He is highly thought of by many in Scotland, particularly Celtic fans –  his time at Parkhead leading to three successive championship titles. He was then sacked when he failed to win the league for a fourth time. Despite this somewhat patch history as a manager, Gordon Strachan is likely to be welcomed by fans, his no-nonsense and outspoken approach having won him much admiration.

We wish Gordon Strachan well and look forward to an improving Scotland team.
