Scotland draw 2 – 2 with Nigeria at Craven Cottage

It was a mixed result for the Scotland team at Craven Cottage last night. They managed another undefeated outing. However, for many, the scoreline will be viewed as disappointing – Nigeria is a team most would expect Scotland to win against.

Overall Scotland provided an impressive display of football. They started well, opening scoring in the tenth minute with a left-footed shot from Charlie Mulgrew. The remaining goals were all scored by Nigeria, the Azubuike Egwuekwe slip-up in the 52nd minute putting Scotland back in the lead. Although helped out by Nigeria’s bad luck Scotland thoroughly deserved to reclaim the lead. And that was how it seemed it would end. Unfortunately Uche Nwofor had other plans, earning the Africans a 2 – 2 draw with his 90th minute equalizer.
