Scotland drawn against England for World Cup 2018 qualifiers

FIFA recently carried out the draw for the qualification stages of World Cup 2018. For UEFA teams that meant being drawn in one of nine groups of five or six teams. Scotland have ended up in Group F, which includes Slovenia, Malta, Lithuania, and Slovakia. More significantly, it also includes and the Auld Enemy, England.

This makes for an exciting qualification. Recent Scotland results in the Euro qualifiers suggest that they are on the rise, and that qualification may be within our grasp. So, with that in mind, I’m hoping for a long overdue qualification to the World Cup finals in 2018. And a good (crushing?) result against England on the way would be the perfect way to get there.
